Professor Monty Mythen

Professor Mythen is the Smiths Medical Professor of Anaesthesia and Critical Care and Director of The Centre for Anaesthesia at UCL. He is also the Director of Research at UCLH and National Clinical Lead - Department of Health, Enhanced Recovery Partnership Programme. His specialist research interests include: determinants of post-operative morbidity and mortality, peri-operative resuscitation and resuscitation fluids. He is a qualified RFU Youth Coach at Ealing Trailfinders RFC. And he is a core team member of the Caudwell Xtreme Everest 2007 project, being laboratory manager at Namche Bazaar, Nepal (3,500m).
