Jeremy Windsor is a Specialist Registrar in Anaesthetics at University College Hospital London and an Honorary Lecturer at the Centre for Altitude, Space and Extreme Environment (CASE) at University College London.

Over the last three years he has been able to successfully climb Cho Oyu (8201m) and Mt Everest (8850m) as part of Caudwell Xtreme, a group of medical researchers involved in hypoxic research based at University College London.

Jeremy has been involved in high altitude research for a number of years and has published a wide range of articles in both the mountaineering and medical literature. More recently he has contributed to the Oxford Handbook of Expedition Medicine and has written the ?High Altitude Illness? section for a new PDF medical textbook produced by the British Medical Journal.
Along with several expeditions to the Himalayas, Jeremy has been a guide, climber and expedition doctor on trips to Australasia, North and South America, Europe and Africa. In 2003 he completed 9 first ascends up to Alpine Difficle in Knud Rasmussenland, an unexplored area of North East Greenland.

In 2008 he enrolled on the Diploma in Mountain Medicine organised by Leicester University and is involved in teaching the high altitude components of the course. Jeremy is one of two UK representatives on the UIAA medical faculty.

Closer to home, Jeremy is a member of the Climbers Club and Alpine Club, climbing regularly throughout the UK but concentrating on his first loves, the Cairngorms of Scotland and the Gritstone Edges of the Peak District.
