50 steps at a time

Phil Hennis is determined not to get brain freeze

The walk from the top of the Punta Indren cable car to the Gnifetti Hut is quite a walk! From slushy snow to boulders to the crampon ascent we soldiered on. Then came the gnarly bit! Climbing a vertical rock face with up to 20 kg on your back was quite a challenge. Especially for those who have never done anything like this before. But we triumphed and all are safe and sound in our home for the next three nights.

To reassure Liesl, the food is better than expected and in large amounts. This keeps the boys very happy. The sun is out, the dudes are sunbathing, and the views are amazing.
